Description
Cypripedium guttatum is commonly known as the Alaskan Lady's Slipper. A very pretty cypripedium for its naturally diminutive size. Stands only approximately 4 to 13 inches in height. Two leaves with typically one inflorescence. The slipper flower is white with pink splotches/spots (To me, reminiscent of a pink and white holstein cow in its patterning/color splashes). White sepals and pink and white splotched petals.

The plant blooms for approximately 2 weeks in late Spring to early Summer. A native to Alaska but also found in North Eastern Asia. Naturally found in montane grasslands & banks in northern climates.

A very narrow cool climate endemic species that must be kept cool and shady. For this reason, you must be located in a USDA growing zone of 4 or lower to have any expectation of long term success with this plant. Hence we will not sell this species to anyone located in zone higher than USDA 4.

USDA Growing Zones
